We're Recruiting a UX/UI Designer

Due to phenomenal growth, we’re recruiting for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our award-winning ecommerce digital agency in Ashford - welcome to Space Between. As our UX/UI Designer, you will be working with blue-chip clients with complex and technically challenging front-end projects. We’re looking for someone with a passion for everything UX/UI and who thrives in an environment where they need data-led approach to your work.

You will be working alongside the rest of the team to create the best user experience; you should thrive on feedback and critique they offer you and be ready to iterate on ideas. You’re data driven and relish in the opportunity to create and build designs that will help drive the business forward and improve user experience.

Skills and Experience we’re looking for

Experience required

• Previous experience wireframing websites / applications is required
• Previous experience designing digital products like websites / applications is required
• Previous experience with industry standard tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, UXPin
• Previous experience working as part of a collaborative environment is desirable

Responsibilities

• Create engaging responsive user interface designs using tools such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, Sketch.
• Understand and apply brand guideline compliant concepts on clients’ websites
• Deliver all wireframe and design tasks for allocated clients, including advanced responsive projects, in a self-sufficient way
• Apply high design standards to all projects (i.e. visually express hierarchy, construct consistent layouts, have a good knowledge of web typography)
• Make design decisions informed by user behaviours and other relevant data
• Apply web design and UX best practice to your work
• Prepare files according to design team standards
• Carefully review every test build from a visual perspective and clearly communicate issues to a relevant developer
• Deliver allocated internal projects with an understanding of company’s brand in a self-sufficient way
• Actively participate in kick-off meetings
• Understand and stick to design processes
• Accurately track time for client and internal work
